On your first visit to Robie at Spring Garden Chiropractic, you will be greeted by one of our amazing staff members!

Your first visit is an opportunity for us to get to know you, your child/children, or your family.   It is also a time for you to get to know us.  We will spend approximately 30 – 45 minutes with you on this visit in order to determine how we can best serve you on your journey to health and well-being.

Individual or family first visits may take a bit longer, depending on the age and number of family members being assessed.    As well, if you decide to bring in your family members, they can also come at a separate time in order to accommodate you and your schedules.

It is important to know and remember that chiropractic care is about much more than just pain and symptoms.  The detailed information you provide in the initial patient intake form helps the doctor understand as much as possible about you, your life to date, and the everyday stresses you may be experiencing.  Many of the health issues that we experience today are a build up of stress over a lifetime.  In order for us to help guide you to reach your own health goals, this information is vitally important.  If you require assistance filling out the forms, please arrive a few minutes prior to your scheduled first visit, and we will happy to assist you in completing them.

After a thorough history, the doctor will then be able to provide an explanation of chiropractic and how it relates to you, your child or your family.

Your chiropractic assessment will consist of a thorough examination which will be explained to you every step of the way.  The doctor will take the time to give clear explanations of what is going on, how we may be able to help you and how long it may take.  Please know, you are involved in choosing your next steps.   If next steps involve chiropractic care, you may receive care on the same visit.  At all times, you will be actively involved in your care with us, helping us to set goals based on what your current state of health may be.  If x-rays are needed, the doctor will refer you to our local health care centre.

How you decide to use chiropractic care in your life is up to you; however, our dedicated and experienced doctors will make recommendations on your care.  If having pain is what brings you in, the examination will help us assess the issues causing the pain and take the necessary steps in order to make you feel better - We look at what is the cause of the pain and look at what we need to do to deal with the issue.  Chiropractic is not meant to provide temporary relieve, it is meant to find the issue and help you get back to feeling better.  If you are ready to make the commitment to yourself, your life, and your well-being, you are in the right place!

We also want to understand your needs and to hear about your past experiences - so that we can ensure we are providing you with the right care.  If you are nervous, have had a bad experience, or if you just want to discuss in more detail prior to care being provided, please let us know and we will ensure we work with you.  Our commitment is to your health and wellness - we care.

Subsequent to your first visit, you are free to contact us with any follow-up questions.  We may contact you, but will discuss this on the first visit.  Your care is important to us and we are here to help.

New patients are welcome to contact the office should they have any further questions, as your health is very important to us.

Our office sends out appointment reminders via text and email.  The text feature is not programmed for us to receive incoming messages; therefore, should you need to reschedule, please call our office at 902-422-3279 or via email [email protected].  Should you wish to NOT receive reminders, please let our staff know and they will remove this feature.  As well, please let our staff know if you have a specific preference of text or email or if you would like both.

Thank you!

Dr. J. Brad Lohrenz
